The Food

The Smokehouse Restaurant is in the heart of the property. The menu focuses on seasonal, regional produce and wines that come from the Poachers vineyard that surround the restaurant. We use organic ingredients from our kitchen garden; the herbs and vegetables are picked fresh and delivered straight to the kitchen.

The meats that we cure and smoke regularly feature on our menus and are available for you to enjoy as part of our picnicking experience, where you can sit back and relax in the restaurant gardens.

Our menu is constantly changing so that we can use local ingredients that are at their best.

The restaurant is open daily, 9.30am til 5pm

The Wine List

Our wine list is exclusively the Poachers Vineyard and Wily Trout wines that are grown on the hills that surround the restaurant. Our region is renowned for its cool climate wines due its location on the edge of the Brindabella mountain range. The delicate yet complex flavours of our wines are a result of the vineyard and the craftsmanship of our wine makers.

A seated tasting flight can be booked in the Smokehouse Restaurant for $15 per person.

The Terrace and Deck

The restaurant is located in its own grounds, and a table on the terrace or deck is simply perfect to enjoy a Poachers picnic and a glass of Poachers Vineyard wine on a lovely day. Both areas are open to the elements with just umbrellas for shadeas for shade.

Kitchen Garden

The Kitchen Garden wicking beds supply fresh organic herbs and vegetables to the restaurant as well as a lovely location for that special long lunch.

Weddings & Events

Poachers is a simply perfect country location for weddings and events. From canapes on the Homestead lawn, to a special dinner in the Kitchen Garden, a gala event in the marquee or an intimate reception in the Smokehouse Restaurant. We can provide a personalised occasion in a stunning rural location, that all will remember.
